From Dreams to Reality: iPhone 15 Is Announced
On Tuesday September 12th 2023, Apple introduced the iPhone 15 series devices, consisting of: iPhone 15, 15 Plus, 15 Pro, and 15 Pro Max.
The iPhone 15 and 15 Pro features a 6.1-inch screen, while the 15 Pro and Plus has a larger 6.7-inch display. These iPhones all now have Dynamic Island — the revamped notch positioned at the top of the screen, designed to take up less screen space. This innovation was initially introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro models last year. The iPhone 15's models incorporate the A16 chip, which was previously used in the iPhone 14 Pro models.
The iPhone 15 will be available in five distinct colours: black, blue, pink, white, and yellow.
The iPhone Pro models feature a titanium design crafted to aerospace-grade standards (using the same alloy that spacecraft use for missions to Mars!). Titanium makes the new iPhones Apple’s lightest Pro models ever. The A17 Pro, a revolutionary processor. An adjustable Action button and the best iPhone camera setup ever available.
The iPhone 15 Pro models will come in black, dark blue, dark grey and light grey.
The Action button is configured to switch between Ring and Silent modes. If you decide to assign a different function, you have the option to use the Control Centre to activate the mute feature or employ Focus filters for automatic activation of silent mode. Whether you want to quickly launch the Camera for spontaneous selfies, record an instant voice memo, or choose a Shortcut to open an app or execute a sequence of tasks such as controlling your living room lights and playing music, it's right there for your convenience.
USB-C Replaces Lightning Port
Apple has officially announced a transition from its proprietary Lightning charging system to a USB-C port for its phones. This shift will commence with the release of the iPhone 15 series and the AirPod charging case. This decision aligns with recent regulations imposed by the European Union, which aim to standardise charging ports for electronic devices sold within the continent. The new USB‑C connector will let you charge your Mac or iPad with the same cable you use to charge iPhone 15 Pro.
Photography is better on iPhone 15 series

Portrait mode has been updated to automatically apply when a suitable subject is detected. Apple Watch Updates
Apple Watch Ultra 2
Apple introduced the second-generation Apple Watch Ultra in September 2023, aimed squarely at athletes and those with a penchant for outdoor adventures. Maintaining its predecessor's large 49mm design, the Ultra 2 is equipped with a new, faster S9 chip that brings several advanced features. Siri has been enhanced, allowing faster response times and providing the ability to answer questions based on health data. Dictation accuracy has been improved by 25%, adding to the device's overall user-friendliness. The Ultra 2 boasts a super-bright screen, capable of reaching up to 3000 nits for better visibility in sunlight.
In terms of durability and performance, the Apple Watch Ultra 2 sets new benchmarks. It comes with a larger battery that can last up to 60 hours in a low-power setting—ideal for long-term outdoor activities like triathlons. The device has dual-frequency GPS capabilities, making it the most accurate Apple Watch to date in terms of tracking distance, pace, and routes. Its robust build allows it to operate in extreme temperatures and withstand challenging outdoor conditions, earning it military-grade certification. For aquatic enthusiasts, the watch supports activities like kitesurfing and scuba diving, providing dedicated underwater metrics through a Depth app. Additional features include an 86-decibel siren for emergency situations, three built-in microphones for clearer sound, a customizable Action button for quick functions, and a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip for enhanced location tracking. Three new sports bands were also introduced, designed for maximum durability and adaptability.
The Apple Watch Series 9
The Apple Watch Series 9, introduced in September 2023, brings several internal upgrades while retaining the design and size options of its predecessor, the Series 8. This new model features a brighter Always-On display with a maximum brightness of 2000 nits, facilitating visibility in bright sunlight. Its new S9 chip offers faster processing speeds and enables the new Double Tap feature, allowing one-handed interactions with the watch for tasks like pausing music or answering calls. On-device Siri commands and improved dictation add to its enhanced capabilities.
Despite these upgrades, the Series 9 maintains the same battery life of up to 18 hours, extendable to 36 hours with Low Power Mode. It continues to offer an array of health and safety features, including heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and a new Crash Detection feature that alerts emergency services in the event of a severe car crash. The Series 9 also incorporates a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip for Precision Finding of misplaced iPhones and better HomePod integration. Available in both aluminium and stainless steel, the Series 9 has done away with leather band options in favour of new band colours and materials.
As of today, Apple is discontinuing the use of leather in any fresh Apple product, including watch bands. If you’re a fan of an elegant and classic leather case or a strap, we got you covered. Nomad is here to bring you the Modern Leather Case for iPhone 15. In collaboration with world renowned Danish leather tannery Ecco, Nomad's team developed a full grain leather that patinas over time to develop a dark, lustrous sheen totally unique to you. One More thing - AirPods Pro (2nd generation) with USB‐C
The second-generation AirPods Pro have been updated to include USB-C charging capabilities. This feature allows users to charge their AirPods directly using the USB-C connector on iPhone 15 series devices. While the new AirPods Pro come with other enhancements like improved Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode, the addition of USB-C charging offers increased convenience for users.
