AirTag
AirTag has been one of Apple's most greatly anticipated products. Small and circular in design, it is an easy way to keep track of your belongings. It works just the same as Find My iPhone works: just attach it to your keys or wallet, or any other important belonging, and that’s it, they’re on your radar in the Find My app.
To use it simply say ‘hey Siri, find my keys’ and if it’s nearby you can follow the sound or alternatively, use precision finding to see the exact distance and direction of the missing item.

AirTag is affordable, with pricing at £29 for one or £99 for a four pack. AirTag will be available to order on 30.03.21. Check it out here.
Hidden feature: Some people understandably have been worried about AirTag being used to track people. But do not fear. Your iPhone or iPad will alert you if an AirTag is travelling with you. As long as the owner of an AirTag is with an iPhone and connected together, the alarm will not be triggered.
iMac
Apple’s event unveiled an exciting and colourful new look for iMac. Now available in 7 vibrant colours and powered by the M1 chip, this is a significant update for the iconic iMac.
The new colours available are orange, yellow, green, blue, pink, purple and silver. The front of the iMac uses a soft pastel shade which will allow users to focus on their on-screen content. The back features a much more saturated, bold colour. The silver iMac is the only model with the same colour all over.
Another change to the look of iMac is its new compact design. Thanks to the M1 chip, the new iMac is now super-thin at 11.5mm, and boasts a volume reduction of 50%. This new chip integrates the processor, graphics, memory and much more onto a single chip. The M1 chip also means your iMac will wake up almost immediately, apps will launch in a flash and the whole system will just flow much smoother.
Another exciting feature for the new iMac is it’s colour-matched keyboard, mouse and trackpad. For the first time, the iMac also includes Touch ID, easily allowing you to securely unlock your computer, use Apple Pay and download apps easily with just a finger. The new iMac will be available in the second half of May, at the usual starting price of £1,249. Check it out here.
Hidden feature: You will find the ethernet port for the new iMac on the power supply, reducing any annoying cluttered wires behind your Mac.
iPhone 12
One exciting announcement for iPhone 12 is that it's now available in a vibrant new purple colour. Let's take a look at some of the other things to be excited about.
This iPhone allows for 5Gs speeds and features the A14 Bionic chip, the fastest chip available in any smartphone.
The phone is 11% thinner, 15% smaller and 16% lighter, making it the world’s thinnest, smallest and lightest 5G phone. It’s also the toughest iPhone yet, with 4x better drop performance as a result of its ceramic shield.
The camera also offers some exciting features such as Night Mode, on both the Wide and Ultra Wide cameras. Night mode will kick in automatically when it detects low-light, maintaining clarity while also capturing beautiful vibrant colour.
The new iPhone 12 will be available 30.04.21, and is priced from £29.12/mo or £699 before trade-in. Check it out here.
iPad Pro
The new iPad Pro comes with the new M1 chip, making it the fastest device of its kind. The amazing power efficiency of M1 results in a device that's thin and light, and has an all day battery life.
This iPad features a breathtaking 1,000 nits of full‑screen brightness and 1,600 nits of peak brightness. It also has advanced display technologies like P3 wide colour, True Tone and ProMotion.
The device also now comes with 5G capabilities, allowing you to connect to the fastest wireless networks when you need to download files, stream movies, collaborate with colleagues and upload content on the go.
The device also boasts the most 5G bands of any device of its kind — so it can get 5G in more places. You'll have the choice of two sizes for the new iPad Pro 2021. It either comes in an 11-inch model, or a larger 12.9-inch model. The iPad Pro will be available in the second half of May, with a starting price of £749. Check it out here.
Apple TV
The event saw the announcement of the new Apple TV 4K model. The sixth-generation Apple TV includes a new streaming device, a revamped Siri and a new processor and high frame rate (HFR) capability.
The long awaited upgrade to an A12 Bionic processor has been confirmed. The chip offers an upgrade to processing speeds, meaning everything from 4K upscaling to motion control is improved. This is helped by the addition of high-frame-rate HDR, explicitly for improving sports and action movies, which can also be streamed from your iPhone via AirPlay.
Other key iOS features like Apple AirPlay (for casting from other iOS devices), Apple HomeKit (for smart home connectivity), and the Siri voice assistant all naturally return here too, as does Audio Sharing for connecting two sets of AirPods.
One major change is the ability to automatically tailor the colour balance of your smart TV using your iPhone. If you have a compatible iPhone you'll be able to use it to measure the colour output on your TV screen and then calibrate the video output of the Apple TV 4K. Just by pointing your iPhone at your TV screen, your iPhone will automatically calibrate what you watch.
The new remote sees the Siri button moved onto the side. It includes Apple's "five-way directional button", that can rewind or fast-forward when used in a scrolling motion - similar to the old iPod models. Check it out here.
